Non-ablative laser which reorganises collagen, pigmentation & congestion.

Laser skin rejuvenation is a non-ablative (meaning non-resurfacing) photo-acoustic laser light energy, which reorganises the collagen scaffolding, effectively stimulating long-term collagen remodelling under the skin.

Wrinkles are caused by the breakdown of collagen and a normal sign of aging. Sun damage causes pigmentation problems, uneven skin tone or leathery texture to the skin.

Laser skin rejuvenation uses a precise wavelength of light energy to target beneath the skin, stimulating collagen production at the source.

What can Laser Rejuvenation treat?

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Enlarged pores

  • Uneven skin texture

  • Acne scarring

  • Sun pigmentation (freckles, sun spots)

  • Hormonal pigmentation (Melasma)

  • Hair reduction

What are the desired results?

Refreshed appearance, smoother texture, more even skin tone and a decrease in pore size.

Is it painful?

Many people describe the feeling of non-ablative laser therapy as a tingling sensation.

What are the potential risks?

The laser energy used is very selective and targets only the collagen fibres, hair or pigment. It uses photo-acoustic energy that can treat all skin colours safely – including darker and tanned skin. Avoiding sun exposure, tanning (including fake tans, colour building moisturisers or solariums) will protect the skin from adverse reactions like crusting, blistering or scarring.

What are the side effects?

Laser skin rejuvenation may cause mild to moderate redness, which usually fades within an hour or two after treatment.

What are the pre and post care instructions?

  • Avoid sun tan, solarium tan, and spray tans 1 month before each treatment.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure for 2 weeks after treatment and use an SPF 30+ daily.

  • Laser aid or a soothing gel

  • Refrain from scrubbing for  3 to 5 days

  • Refrain from waxing for 3 days

  • Refrain from immediate strenuous exercise to avoid perspiration

How many treatments are needed?

Although you will notice results after your first treatment, laser skin rejuvenation is a gradual process. You will typically need 4 – 6 treatments spaced at 3-5 weeks apart. Many patients continue maintenance treatments to maintain their great results.

What skincare is recommended?

  • SPF 30+

  • Moisturiser

  • Laser aid

Are there any conditions where Laser Rejuvenation is not recommended?

  • Roaccutane

  • Retin A

  • Keloid scarring

  • Active Herpes simplex (cold sore)

  • Pregnancy

  • Tanned skin

  • Antibiotics

  • Deep chemical peel within last 6 months
