The natural production of elastin and collagen and supporting cells naturally diminish as we age, leading to sagging and hollows in the skin. Stimulating the production of collagen and elastin is known as skin needling or collagen induction.
Skin needling consists of multiple fine needles that vertically enter the skin with an automatic vibrating function. When Skin Needling is used at the right depth across the skin’s surface, it stimulates natural collagen reproduction, while creating fine channels in the skin. Skin needling is undertaken with minimal discomfort a numbing cream is used prior to treatment. Our Skin Needling Pen causes less discomfort and downtime when compared to a skin roller device making it the more desirable treatment.

Skin Needling is a safe procedure with very low risks. Scarring and infections are very rare.

Most people can return to their daily routine immediately after treatment. However, moderate redness and swelling will be present for around 48 hours. The signs of a strong and successful treatment may include the presence of petechiae (tiny red dots) that are completely harmless and will disappear in a few days.

Please inform your therapist if you suffer from allergies to penicillin or lidocaine as some of our treatments require the use of numbing cream. The use of numbing cream is a contraindication to pregnancy, therefore these treatments cannot be performed. Any broken skin or open wounds will prevent the use of numbing cream as well.
